PRICE LIST We care about quality MONTANA BRANCOTT ESTATE SAUVIGNON BLANC  £10.75 Winemaker: Jamie Marfell. The grapes were harvested from mid March to early April and are then crushed and left in contact with the skins for a few hours to maximise flavour extraction and provide ength and fullness of flavour. The free-run juice was then drained and fermented slowly at cool temperatures to retain the very distinctive regional and varietal characters. Montana is New Zealand's leading winemaker with an international reputation for producing quality still and sparkling wines. Grapes for this classically styled Sauvignon Blanc are sourced from Montana's Brancott, Squire and Kaituna Estates in the Wairau Valley, Marlborough.The nose is dominated by gooseberry, white peach and flint with underlying spicy green capsicum notes. The palate shows a rich concentration and pure, fresh herbal fruit notes that are complemented by tantalising mineral flavours and a crisp acidity. Following crushing, the majority of juice was selected and sent directly todrainer tanks to maximise skin contact which increased flavour extraction and fullness on the palate. The remaining portion was sent directly to bag presses to enhance the wine's elegance. The free-run juice was then fermented slowly at cool temperatures to retain the distictive aromatics.
